STYLIST COURSE AT
REGENTS UNIVERSITY

DECONSTRUCTION SHOOT

For this shoot, I was the designer, stylist, model and editor. In this assignment, I was told to deconstruct a garment for my Stylist class. I choose to deconstruct a men's Brooks Brothers double breasted blazer. I turned this blazer into a fun day to night two piece set while converting half the blazer top into strapless and leaving one sleeve. On the back of the top, I added grommets for a corset feel so the top would tighten around the chest. With the skirt, I added 3 darts in the back and cleaned up the raw edge. I was highly inspired by Ralph Lauren when making this so I wanted to show that through my chosen scenery. I picked my horse farm for my photoshoot.

WHITE PAPER SHOOT

In this shoot, I was the stylist, designer, photographer, and editor. For this photoshoot project we were supposed to incorporate paper into the the image somehow so I created a head piece. The head piece was made from copier paper, poster paper, foam ring and hot glue. When it comes to the overall vibe of the shoot, I wanted to showcase the contrast of white against other tones and even white against other shades of white. For the garments, I used white satin fabric and draped it over my model then I sewed a corset with off white fabric to go over the draped fabric to hold it in place. I also hand sewed false flowers into the corset to make it cohesive with the headpiece.

FUTURE OF FASHION

In this shoot, I was the stylist, photographer, model and editor. The purpose of this shoot was to show the future of fashion while focusing on one specific product. I choose to use the idea of dressing up to go no where. I was influenced by the the recent pandemic. Ironically I took these photos while locked up in a quarantine hotel which definitely helped get the message across. My product I choose to showcase was a pair of red platform Naked Wolf shoes. I think my images show the frustration of wanting to leave and join the real world when you aren't able to. I think this pandemic changed fashion and life forever which is why I said its the future.
